JohnM The MF 65 was probably a nice tractor, but it is not all that difficult to purchase a complete, running tractor for not too much money. I have seen them go at auction from $1650 to about $2800. This "carcass" you have found can probably be made to run---at a cost of several times what a running tractor would have cost you in the first place. The only reason to rebuild something such as you discribe is from sentimental family value. It would need too many expensive parts to ever be worth doing, otherwise, Still, if you insist, and if they GIVE the tractor to you, feel free to give it a try. Just don't reveal the cost to your wife!
