I dissagree with you about the square coil being troublesom. Never in the 75 years of having this tractor did the coil ever cause any problems. When it started having running problems I took out that stupid resistor and no more problems. It is now running same voltage to points as either Farmall or John Deere did from moment mag was gotten rid of and distributor installed. So I don't by the argument about full 6 volts burning points.
