ok, I am going to contradict myself. (I can already hear you guys giving me crap) IF you get a used furnace have a new gas valve put in and a new thermo couple instaled and if its set up for natural gas get a conversion kit IF you can find a used furnace that has available parts and is useable, but in my opinion spend the 500 bucks and get a new furnace you will spend more than enought time cussing out your projects than to worry about your @! furnace that won't heat a can of soup. If you only use it on weekends, you might just want to use wood or a Knipco heater (my uncle heats his 24 x 30 insulated shop with one and it works just fine)
