If you do have a magneto they are not very hard to work on. There is a video on U Tube by a girl who really knows what she is talking about. Look at that video! First try and get the number one piston on TDC then remove the mag. once the mag is out you can take it apart and clean it and remove any corrosion. Sand the points or replace them it,s up to you. reassemble the mag and bench test it to see if you now have spark. I followed along on the U Tube video and got my Farmall M going about a month ago.
