JD R injector system bleeding

I ran my R out of fuel. I've followed the manual for bleed procedures for the 3 filter stages, but still no cigar! I suspect I will have to bleed the injector lines and/or the injectors, however there is no procedure in the operators manual for this. I found one description on a very old message on this forun, however, I need to know if I have to go through any bleed procedure with the main engine turning while I bleed the lines. I work alone (my arms aren't long enough to reach the poney motor clutch and compression release while I'm working on the right side of the main engine!)
Any ideas? I'd appreciate help!
