JD seller may be right but I think it has a spin on filter. My suggestion is go to the fill where you put the hydraulic/transmission oil in. Wrap a rag around an air nozzle and induces low pressure air into that cavity for about two minutes , then as you continue to hold air there crank the tractor, think you problem will be solved. YOU were smart in not running it without the pump having oil. Please post your results.
