Just thought it would be a fun subject. Ours is a 1971 4020 M&W turbo 125hp with, as of today, 27,609 hrs and has never been opened up. Our other 4020 needed done at 18,000 and it doesn't even work as hard. I guess the 71 just had an ace checking the tolerances that day!
The other one I'm impressed with is our 4630. It has been turned up to 240hp since 1980 and has 16,000 hours. First two years dad said he had to replace the turbo once a year, so he switched to synthetic and we haven't touched it since. I've seen the manifold glowing orange at night pulling the discovator a few times :) Everyone asks how on Earth it hasn't blown up. Apparently most people don't turn them up past 200. I just shrug and say- "ehh, it runs hot but it doesn't boil over, we use synthetic oil and cool it off before shutdown."
So let's hear it! What tractors have amazed you with their ability to last forever or take ridiculous amounts of abuse?

Silo Filling Time On dairy farms back in the 30's and into the first half of the 40's, making of corn silage was done with horses pulling a corn binder producing tied bundles of fresh, sweet-smelling corn plants, nice green leaves with ear; the
