What tractor are you working with? The old "ear-beater" cabs were all directly open to noise from transmissions, rear ends, engines and hydraulics, and they amplified those noises similar to setting a coffee can over an alarm clock. Even the best of the were all significantly louder than the same open station tractor. Those cabs did provide good protection from the cold, the wind and rain.
You might be time and money ahead to invest in a tractor with a more modern factory cab that is isolated from the tractor, and has air conditioning.
