I forgot, tubeless tires do cost more. Add the price of the tube to the tube type tire to get a comparative price. Industry practice dictates a new tube with a new tire. Never an old tube ( They are only good for swimming with once they have been used). Farm service tire dealers in my area replace with a new tube everytime a tire is dismounted. A tube is never repaired. Where the tube has folds it will generally develop a leak in that area and you have to pay for another service call. So the long term price would probbably be about equal if you ever had any flats.
