Good folks here at YT , I have found myself in a pickle. I am building a dump wagon using a Midwest WH 5 bolster hoist. Today I started working up the hoist to get it ready to paint and discovered the cylinder is most likely beyond salvage, even the end plate the rod passes through is missing and the rod is pitted. There were many Midwest hoists under barge boxes once upon a time so maybe just maybe a cylinder is laying in a shed or on a shelf that I could purchase. Finding such a animal might be next to impossible but nothing ventured nothing gained. I thank you folks for taking the time to read my post. Larry
