We lost our Lowes (south-central MN) several months ago. Now I have to find another place to visit once every year or two, just as I did when Sears folded. We have a Menards that has just competed a major addition. It is constantly busy any time of the day or night, any day of the week. I often joke that, aside from taxes, I spend more money at Menards than anywhere else. I've said only half-jokingly that if you were locked inside Menards, you could live your entire life comfortably unless you needed major medical attention. It has clothing, shoes, food, OTC medications, razors, soap, towels, bedding, tooth paste, tooth brushes, milk, bread, frozen meat, peanuts, on and on. A while back I asked the long-time manager whom he planned to wipe out next. He just chuckled.
