I bought this little tractor new in 1989. Used it for my lawn and garden tractor for a lot of years. Now it is mostly for general tight quarters work. Yesterday it was low on diesel so I filled it up from my 300 gallon tank. That tank was filled last fall so the fuel maybe 10 months old. Tractor ran for a while and then lost power and stalled. Will not restart. battery is about 2 years old. Just little white puffs coming out of exhaust. Took about a half gallon of diesel from the storage tank into a glass jar. Nothing obviously wrong with it. It is dyed and not real transparent...but I cannot remember if diesel should be transparent. No water or sediment in the sample at all. Sure sounds to me like the fuel is suspect but I suppose it could be something else and just a coincidence. Any suggestions? I use it a lot and need it back in the game.
