Steven: I am one of the guilty for getting this going. On Nov. 23 , I posted a best tractor posting. Before it was done it recieved 52 responces. Like you I now find myself a bit annoyed with all this. Problem is aprox 60% of view it as popularity or sharpest looking contest. People will not take an objective look at data such Nebraska tests, numbers sold, numbers still in use, etc. A couple of nights ago you took a swipe at me and I back at you over Fast Hitch versus 3 Point Hitch. I will conceed that 3 point hitch would never have worked on large tractors and equipment if they hadnt adopted two principles from Fast Hitch; the extendable lower link and lower link draft control. In my farming operation I used a lot of trailing, pto equipment, thus didnt like Fast Hitch as a drawbar. Getting back to YT sites, this is new to me in the last 6 months. As I have become more involved I decided I had better get a voluntary subscription off to YT. This is a valuable resource in itself. I am getting friends interested and also goading them into taking a swipe at me and they will. I think we have to take a broader look at this, discussion is just a means of argueing without calling people bad names. It is also good for YT. I know an old couple who go to farmers markets, he sets up to sell she goes for a walk. Every hour or so she comes around a gets in an argument with him, quite vicious too, They attract a lot of attention and also go home with an empty truck.
