I have been using a Reception Website to see what is available and what direction to point the antenna. The link I have included works pretty well. I had cable about 25 years ago for a month or two. I don't believe in paying for something more than once. You pay for cable or satellite monthly and then the advertisers pay them again. With over the air TV, the commercials are the payment.
I also just bought a new Smart Samsung TV. With that, I get over the air signals, the internet channels that are installed on the TV, it has Netflix and Pluto and more TV via the Internet.
Of course I bought more antennae than I needed so I am always willing to part with one or two.
