Buying a tractor a little too big is a whole lot better than wishing you had more power later! "Independent" live PTO is the best set up. Independent means the PTO can be turned on or off independent of what position the clutch is in. Usually, there's a seperate lever to activate the PTO clutch. Live PTO means as the other poster stated, pushing the clutch half way down stops the tractor, and all the way down stops the PTO. I've never used a Mahindra tractor, but they did look like a pretty good deal when i looked them over at the Louisville farm show. Robert
