My dog had something like that early spring after being around dogs at a kennel over a weekend, acted like a cat coughing up a hairball, several times a day. throw up very foamy "flem" like stuff and food. lasted about a week. I tried to post picture of what was coming out Guy at work has hunting dogs (he used to breed and sell lots of them), his main dog got the same thing about 3 weeks ago, took to vet. vet did not know and put him on antibiotics for a week or so. all 4 his dogs ended up with it, antibiotics for all lasted about a week. vet thinks his got it from the dog walkers not cleaning up after their dogs that walk by his place. never did give him a name for it.
