Didn t retorque the head after the rebuild. Blown head gasket sounds like a good option since both cylinders went out at the same time. Seemed strange to lose both cylinders at the same time due to valves or bad rings. Ran beautifully before this failure with more power than I ve had for the past 15 yrs. I ve been bummed.
When I ve had an opportunity to pull the valve cover and check things out, I ll report back to the forum. All of your input has been most helpful. Thanks for the quick advice. Much appreciated.
