Powerstroke Chips

I just swapped out my 1999 F250SD V10 for a 2002 F250SD Powerstroke. I see on Ford-Diesel.com that there are many computer chip upgrades for the Powerstroke. Does anybody have experience on any of these chips? Do you need the three gauges (EGT, Boost, Tranny)? Do you need the larger exhaust over stock? Any advice?
