The old girl cleans up pretty nice! I did the same with my Massey 44 Special....it had one repaint about 40 years ago, right over the decals, so I lightly sanded them off like you did. The original owner had it for 60 years and kept it in real nice shape. Heck, the first show I brought it to, it won the most original tractor prize! I am sure yours will too! Good luck at the show.
