I agree Johnny!!! Prime rate is lowest since 1961, I borrowed money for more land from Agriland FCS and lowest rate I could get was 7.65. What is the deal? The loan officer told me that the rate is set by the "board" whomever that is. I want more land but I am starting to think I might make it better without it. Cattle prices are in the gutter right now. I sold calves in late Sep and got from .97 to 1.09, my neighbor took better calves than mine were to sale in late Oct and got .60 to .75. Every thing is going opposite than it should. Seems that when the economy is good it is bad for the farmer, when economy is bad it is worse for the farmer.
