Actually "new" (like a rebuild) or maybe "new" like new to the tractor. Years ago I had a B and a guy made me aware of some kind of issue to watch at every start up. Something can go wrong (wear or whatever, I'm not sure) relative to the camshaft driving the oil pump. Now and then on worn engines, it will start fine but the oil pump/pressure goes south and if you're not careful, it can cost you an engine. I remember that happening. If it did I would shut it down immediately, wait a minute and then fire it up again and the oil pressure was fine. Somebody here that is an Allis expert can explain what happens (or doesn't happen). Maybe post this question down on the Allis board, it can be a harmful startup if that happens.
