growing up, I had totally missed the fact that Allis even made a picker. this one is half of the 2row that went on a WD. there was a pull behind Allis, all restored, at Rantoul in 2017. I talked to the owner, who was lamenting the fact that he had brought his Allis B or C, instead of his WD with the hand clutch and slower first gear. and he was right- when it came his turn to go up the row, he got maybe 150' before he pulled out of the row because the picker was plugged full, and he spent the next half hour digging it out. i haven't used it yet, but it will be behind a 656 hydro when I do. I figure a half wagon will be enough torture for me and it. if we get even that far.
