I've had both shoulders operated on. One is pretty well worn out again. The other one was so bad it took nearly two years to gain anything resembling normal use. Can lift with the biceps but anything that puts stress on the shoulder joints is quite painful. Can do nothing above chest level. I may be looking into a joint replacement for the right one this fall after hunting season. Anything to do with messed up shoulder joints is the pits and just plain miserable..
