OK; my $.02! I don't know what an M as you describe would go for but they are overpriced for what you get because of JD collectors. (Ever hear that about Ford N's? True for them too.) My first tractor was an MT (tricycle version) and I don't think it or the M was JD's best effort. Yes, it had live hydraulics but no 3 pt. I just always felt it was kind of an incomplete machine. If you are buying it to use, I would pass on it and look for a JD 40. If you like it and just want it, by all means go for it. I just think you can get more value for your money by looking at some other brands/models. And I agree w/ Robert in W. Mich about the indiscriminate posting of wrong information.
