The wheel weight is a small % of the total tractor weight, so it's not a big concern. However, on a large wheel, there is some added rolling resistance from the fluid sloshing around. Not a lot, but some. The smaller air pocket also adds more shock to the tire over the years. Fliud does provide a lower center of gravity as mentioned. So, weights are probably a bit better overall, but fluid is cheaper, out of the way, and adds a bit of lower center of gravity. --->Paul
