I purchased a 5200 (5000 high clearance) new in 1971. Tractor listed at 68hp. had it dynoed in 1973 at 83hp. and climbing (no alteration to pump). Still have the tractor with over 9000 hrs.and motor still untouched, just regular maintenance, a rebuilt water pump every 3-4 years and a new muffler at about the same time! At the time of purchase, dealer told me mininum of 8 - 10000 hrs. before an overhaul. Still uses less than a litre of oil between oil & filter changes.
