clutch problem on a 656IH

I am looking at a 656IH. It runs great,but when you depress the clutch, there is a vibration in the clutch pedal. I was told by the salesman that this is probably a bad throw-out bearing. Does this sound plausible? If this is a throw-out bearing or truly a bad clutch is this likely going to be a costly repair? Thanks,Steve
