Vernon - If the coil wire is firing (I presume you mean you're getting a spark out of the coil) then the spark's gotta be getting lost in the distributor. Probable cause is the distributor is has gone grossly out of time - i.e. body has come loose and turned.

Try this: Rotate the motor until it's on #1 cyl TDC. Now pop off the distributor cap and look underneath. The rotor should be squarely beneath either the #1 or #4 spark wire nipples. If it's not, loosen the distributor clamp bolt and rotate the distributor body until it is. That should get the motor to at least start - you'll then have to reset the timing per tune up specications to get it running right.

BTW - Ignition condensers are voltage insensitive - a condenser from a 6 volt system will work fine on 12 volts.
