I could see mounting a snow blower on one, but I would not want a snow blade. As others said, in either case, visibility is not very good with a combine, esp if you are trying to work around tight places cleaning snow. Backing up would be a _real_ issue. Also the engine is usually mounted up top, making them top heavy as others said. Most of the cheap ones are belt drive gas engines. Those belts do not offer enough power to push a snow blade. Most of a combine's power went to running the machine, the drive trains on the little cheap ones are actually not very strong at all. And, depending where you live, the colder it is, the more likely those very cold belts (10 below?) will slip or rip - $150 a pop or so. But, depending what you start with & how much work you do, it could work out fine. The New Idea Uni system had a snow blower available for it, there are a couple in the neighborhood... --->Paul
