What you are describing isn't giving me courage about it. Sounds like there could be a whole bunch of work to get it right again. The fuel in the cylinders would have drained out years ago so you may be looking at a stuck engine. Although I have a lot of respect for Masseys, I don't really know much about restoring them. Can you get parts for that engine? It would only be a guess but I'd say $400 would be all I'd pay under the circumstances. Because of the family connection, it may be worth more to you. Good luck with it. I hope its running again in a few months. We are losing too many of the old tough tractors of that era.
