Calvin, I don't know whether you would call me "An Old Timer" or not, but I grew up on a farm in Adams county Ohio, in the southern part of Ohio. We farmed around 60 acres of farm land, wheat, corn, hay, and tobacco. Along with hogs, cattle-beef, and dairy, chickens, geese and the such. An average farm back then (Late 40's) We had a team of black belgium horses that we worked along with our new 1946 "A" John Deere. We had a Mc Cormick Deering wheat binder(which from setting outside has rusted down) Shame on us! A Rosenthaw corn shreder, a 22" thrashing machine, and various other pieces of equipment. My son recently acquired an old Deering New Ideal wheat binder, which is in fair condition, missing a few parts. It would be nice to find someone that had pictures or manual of this binder so we could either find or remake the missing parts. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks Ed
