pop had a 55 chev snow plow truck and to lift the blade there was a hyd. unit on the floor with a lever you pumped back and forth. a hose went out to the blade cyl. and that was all there was to it. very similar to a cab jack on a cab over road tractor. I would not buy anything any more complicated than that for myself. why get another eng to maintain. the carbs crud up in a few months from the gas now a days and are not inexpensive to buy or fix. simplify simplify simplify!!! for simple applications like you described a more complex and expensive unit would be like owning a tractor trailer to go pick up your paycheck. a hand pumped porta power is all that is necessary usually.
