People in the Draft horse circles have built units that allow them to use small 3-point hitch implements with their horses. If you go to websites regarding 'farming with horses' you will see plans or advertisements for these units. They normally will have a long tongue and a pair of wheels and a drivers platform with a 12 volt or hand pump hydraulic system. Back in the 50's Willys Overland (Jeep) offered civilian jeeps with 3-point hitches and ptos. There have been aftermarket companies that have sold 3-point hitches for 3/4 and 1 ton pickups. As mentioned in the other posts, units can be powered by the truck engine with a electric clutch and V-belt drive, pto off the transimission/bell housing or off the trucks 12 volt system. I would suggest for portability that it use the trucks 12 volt system with a pre-wired harness much as you would use for a removable winch. Solenoid controlled valving would allow control from within the cab with a joystick or bank of rocker switches.
