Hi AGEN, the cheapest 12volt hydraulic pump (new) i've found is from Surplus Center 800-488-3407. they will send you a catalogue, it will be helpfull in your design work also. The math associated with hydraulics is explained very well in a catalogue called Baum hydraulics, they will also send you a catalogue. i don't have the number at home, but will post tomarrow. i always wanted to make a 3pt hitch mounted on a set of axles and tongue to pull behind a truck. would be great to pick up and tow medium and small equipment. (from auction sales for example). do you have formulas for hydraulic pressures, hp and flowrates? Parker hydraulics has some pretty good books on the subject. sounds like a good practicle project.
