Might be a model T conversion,they were more common than somthing for the model A. I have a book of old agricultural adds from the late 1800's to the 1950's. In the mid to late 20's there were many companies selling conversion,chain drive axles and frames to convert a cheap old model T into a truck ot a farm tractor. Some of the tractor conversions included a belt drive governor,a larger radiator and an air cleaner. Just digging through the book of old adds, and Smiths made a tractor conversion too. Called the Smith form-a-tractor,guaranteed to do the work of four big horses. The add goes on to say the kit comes with a radiator 10 times more efficient than the Ford radiator.
Also says "Smith form-a-tractor frame extends the full lenght of the Ford frame,reinforcing it and leaving no part of the tractor attached to the Ford when used as a pleasure car" Price $255 and a Ford.
Another made by Staude mak-a-tractor, $195 and a Ford.
Another by the Pullford company. $155 A few pages later are the model T to truck conversions. Smith form-a-truck ,makes a model T into a 1 ton truck $350. The listed advantage is that instead of leaving for the city market a 3 or 4 am, you can leave at 6 am in your Smiths form-a-truck and still be there in plenty of time.
Speeds of 12-15 mph are possible :)
