Quoting from the Nebraska Tractor Test No 594, done on the John Deere 720 Diesel (the 730 used the exact same engine) lest "L"-OPERATING MAXIMUM TORQUE: % of rated rpm (engine) / % of rated speed torque 100/100 95/108 90/112 85/112 79/114 75/115 70/116 65/116 60/113 54/111 My apologies for not being able to format this so that it is easier to read. I do not have the figures for the 560D- my book only lists the 450D so feel free to list any figures for the 560. Here are the ones for the 450D, however: Nebraska Test No. 608 Test "L": Engine rpm/ % of rated speed torque 1450/100 1377/102 1305/102 1232/103 1160/103 1073/101 1015/97 942/95 884/93 797/91 At least THIS IHC Diesel engine doesn't match the torque rise of a John Deere.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
