Went down to Hartwell Ne yesterday to get an engine for my 400. Got a 301d out of a combine, that is the same engine that is in the 830 tractor.
This will be a direct bolt in and eliminate the issues with the block and finding obsolete sleeves and pistons for the original engine. I got it from a man named Bill Talbert, a real nice man. We had a great visit. He also has a nice collection of case stuff, wish I could have spent more time there checking it out, but I was in a hurry to get home. The trip was right at 1200 miles round trip.
I left the kingdom about 5am yesterday, spent an hour or so at Bill's place and took a break for a couple hours in Des Moines, and got home about 4am this morning. I may take a nap or two today. Lol
