Under normal conditions I agree that people who got hosed are to blame.

In times of a crisis it is wrong to price gouge, and I think most people, maybe not you, but most people, would agree this is a time of crisis. In such a case, there are laws in almost all states to protect people from fear mongering, 'insider trading' type issues, price gouging, and all such.

Better brush up on your law books. :)

The bigger issue is, who is willing to do business with a station that is willing to profit off the scares & woes of this situation? I can't imagine walking into such a place & spending my money there ever again. If you choose to do so, that is your business.

As I said elsewhere, many stations did not raise their pump prices, but put a high price out on the street, to slow down the long lines & traffic jams around them. If the point was to control the lines of irrational people, I have no problem with that - tho it seems it drove the irrational people farther.
