Bought a skid tank fuel pump once, ebay cancelled the sale cause the seller was shady...but I figured something would happen, as the purchase price was about half what everybody else was selling it for. No problem, got my money back.
I'm in a deal right now...bought an item, guaranteed delivery by Feb 7th. Emailed seller that I didn't get it, discovered seller is in Thailand. Also, seller just started getting bad reviews for non delivery...of course, right after I bought it.
But I'm not worried, I'll get my money back.
I too tend to select North America if i'm searching for an item that I need fairly quickly...but if they don't/won't give me an estimated delivery date, I'll pass. Did they give you a delivery date in the ad? Most stuff I've gotten directly from China takes a looooong time to get here.
So yeah, there's shady sellers on ebay just like everyplace else...but I've never gotten taken, always got reimbursed.
