Mike, The way you keep from welding the stud to the head is to drop a good size thick washer over the protrudeing stud and weld it on first. Then center a big nut on the washer and weld it on!! If this doesn't work, i'd not buy all the sizes of L hand bits. I'd drill most of the holes with R. hand, and then switch to L. Soaking with Blaster, or Liquid Whench for a few days before you start drilling will help a lot too!! Robert
