Mike, about 4 times in ten the left handed bits do the work for you, which is better than my experience with easy outs, a lot depends on how rusty it is, If you can drill all the way thru the stud and get some Kroil, wd40, or favorite solvent in the bottom to work its way up, and wait, might save you a bit.
