I gave $1000 for my 1957 "Improved" Super gas. It was in pieces and needed an overhaul,but was in half way decent shape otherwise. The previous owner had torn it down because it was getting water in the oil. He thought it was the head,so he bought another one that was all reconditioned,but the problem of course,was the O-rings on the sleeves.
