I did just that. Taking a working, clean Microwave oven to the DAV to donate but they were closed. Passed a garage sale being set up and we stopped and told the lady she could have it to sell or use if she wanted, along with the owner's manual. She actually asked how much WE wanted and was so happy when we said no charge-we were giving it to charity. A good day for us both.
