SVcummins : Snow cover means very little here in the Midwest for one. Second the water table in the majority of the Midwest is topped out. I have springs running out of tiled hill sides that usually never run more than the tile line can handle. So we are full of water right now.
Will the warm weather mean a dryer hotter summer??? Maybe. In my life time I have had several warmer winters and only one was followed by drought.
If anything by weather patterns is we have been getting above normal moistures for the last six months.
