48 deg in southern lower Michigan this afternoon. On this day last year, it was 0 deg at 8 am. I?ll take the 48 every day!

SVcummins : Snow cover means very little here in the Midwest for one. Second the water table in the majority of the Midwest is topped out. I have springs running out of tiled hill sides that usually never run more than the tile line can handle. So we are full of water right now.

Will the warm weather mean a dryer hotter summer??? Maybe. In my life time I have had several warmer winters and only one was followed by drought.

If anything by weather patterns is we have been getting above normal moistures for the last six months.

Its a warm Winter so far for me in VA and 2018 was the wettest year in my memory,never seen it so muddy this time of year and starting to rain again now.Tropical rain forests get lots of rain and lots of heat BTW(LOL)

I don't know a whole lot about global warming. I do know though that most weather and climate scientists say it's happening and that man is contributing to it. When I read Stephen Hawking's thoughts on the issue (see link below), I think that trumps (pardon the pun) the deniers who hang out on the YT forums. Rumor has it that he was a pretty bright guy.

More gooder. I hate winter anymore. The only thing is if it snows the first snowfall is just so pretty. The best is if it is nice fluffy stuff I want a baseball to th3 walls full blown blizzard. Now we can go play with our big bad snow blowers!

And remember just a few years ago those same sietest were saying we were going into a ice age. How often do they change their minds on what the weather will be. Just normal variances.

Couple days ago it was 28-35? here in west texas and today in 50s and tomorrow 60s. I have been where I live 35 years,its the wettest I can remember. Not much wheat sowed and very little cotton got out.

Just remember, it always averages out to within a degree ro two, so if it is too warm now it will be too cold tater.
