First, IMHO, if you are gonna build one of these contraptions, you should at least do it right. Just stuffing an IHC M on an old lawn tractor chassis is, well... ugly. PLEASE consider building a "pup" of a classic tractor, be it an Oil Pull, a Titan or Mogul, or even a JD GP. If you don't have the talent for that, then at least use some classic cues, spoked wheels, full fenders, canopy, polished wood, pinstriped paint &c. The extra effort shows, and is well worth it. Above all, once you've got your "butt buggy" pay attention to safety and rules of common sense. In most cases the trouble with these things comes from, for lack of a better term, inconsiderate owners. Perhaps the engine club organizers should consider restricting them to certain routes and/or times just like regular tractors AND require owners to remain on, or within 5 feet of them while the engine is running, unless they are taped off. I'd also suggest requiring a handicapped sticker for any exceptions. Some people won't like it, and may well threaten not to come back. Simply explain that the safety of the paying general public has to come first, before the convenience of a few exhibitors. Many will understand, but I suppose a few won't.

Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a
