Lots of good info here, and a wide variety of opinons. I suggest that if you do not have a manual, you contact a MF dealer and talk to a knowledgeable service rep (mech) and ask about the preferred rpm's for different loads. I know that I cannot operate a Minneapolis Moline the same as a John Deere and the ford is much different yet. Just my opinion; Bob
