Like most everything else, it depends on the condition and what you're planning to use it for. There's regular mowers and heavy duty mowers. A new heavy duty Alamo or Rhino (the're the same except for the color) will run you about $2,800. I just bought a used 7' Rhino in excellent shape for $1,500. My neighbor who is in the hay business just bought a 15' batwing and paid $9,600 for it. Another friend of mine is in the bush hogging business, does it for a living, and told me the Bush Hog brand used to be good but their quality had dropped drastically...he won't own one now. He says the old John Deere with the round gear box is about the best he's tried. He also says the new John Deere with the square gear box is not reliable. The $1,350 sounds like a fair price.
