Had to put down my Border Collie (Belle) about 11 months ago. Hated the world ever sense. I loved my dog more than some people and family i know. I couldnt stand the pressure it was giving me so i found another Border collie pup (Maggie). I find myself when i am calling her sometimes i say Belle. Shes turning out to be a good dog and smart. But she sure is giving me a run for my money. Sometimes i think i should have had my head examined for getting a puppy at my age of 58. But Im telling you she was worth every dollar and then some. It was good for me. So in saying that i feel what your saying about a pet. You should get another one and don't listen to anyone that says don't do it. It really has helped me out alot.
