Have used the trick on race engines where you need to remove the valve covers for valve adjustment after every race. works on paper,cork or almost anything except neoprene. I glue the gasket to one part with 3M (yellow death) weather strip adhesive and coat the other side with moly grease for an absolute stick free gasket that can be reused many times.
